Philip J. Flores, Ph.D., is a clinical psychologist who has worked extensively for over thirty years in the area of addictive disorders and group psychotherapy.
He is a Fellow of the American Group Psychotherapy Association and holds a Certificate of Group Psychotherapy from the American Board of Professional Psychology.
Dr. Flores held positions of Adjunct Faculty at the Georgia School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University, Georgia State University and was supervisor of group psychotherapy at Emory University for over twenty years.
In addition to two books, Group Psychotherapy With Addiction Populations by Haworth Press (which was just released in its 3rd Edition) and Addiction as an Attachment Disorder by Jason Aronson Press, he has published numerous articles and chapters on addiction and group psychotherapy. Dr. Flores' latest book, Addiction as an Attachment Disorder was the 2005 Gradiva Award Winner issued by The National Association for the Advancement of Psychoanalysis. He has also presented numerous workshops nationally and internationally on these two subjects.
